Death & life
Thoundsands of EFF members came to Tembisa for their election manifesto launch at the Mehlareng Stadium
The DA planned to march to the ANC Luthuli House to protest against the leading parties failure to deliver jobs as they had stated in their last election manifesto.
The ANC tried to get a court interdict to prevent the DA from marching to their head quarters at Luthuli House in Down town Johannesburg. Failing to have the courts pronounce the march illegal, the ANC had it’s supporter come to Luthuli House to protect their property. The police failed to keep ANC members contained at Luthuli House, which saw them making their way to intercept the DA protesters before even reaching their destination. Police had to intervene with stun grenades to disperse the protesters that where throw rocks at opposition members.
Afterwards senior ANC members held a media brief stating they had successfully protected their head quarters and how their members had shown and discipline.
